PREPARE YOUR EXPORT ORDER

Clear details for an overseas purchase.

An overseas inquiry needs more than a product name. Use this checklist to communicate destination, packing and delivery requirements early. Available arrangements and responsibilities are agreed for each order.

Identify the destination

Share the destination country and expected delivery point. If a port, warehouse or project location is involved, provide the details relevant to the quotation.

  • State whether the delivery location has been decided.
  • Include any destination-specific product or document requirements in the inquiry.

Specify packing and markings

Describe how you expect the products to be packed and identified. Packaging dimensions, weights and packing arrangements require confirmation for the actual items and quantities.

  • Specify carton quantities, pallet preferences and product identification.
  • Provide any required label wording, shipping marks or reference numbers.

Discuss transport and responsibilities

Tell us whether you plan to use your own forwarder or want to discuss delivery options. Freight arrangements, costs and the responsibility of each party need to be clear in the quotation and order.

  • Name the proposed delivery location and trade term, if you have one.
  • Confirm which transport and destination charges are included in the agreed scope.

Confirm the order documents

List the documents requested by your purchasing team, forwarder or importing party. Document availability, format and timing are checked against the particular order.

  • Discuss commercial invoice and packing list requirements.
  • Ask your importing party or broker to confirm local import requirements before ordering.

LET’S DISCUSS YOUR REQUIREMENTS

Tell us where your products are going.

Send the product list, quantity and destination on WhatsApp. We can then discuss which order and delivery details need to be confirmed.
